In 2016, a devastating motorcycle accident changed Luca’s life forever. Miraculously, he survived, but he faced the amputation of his left leg. Yet, he refused to give up his greatest passion: the journey. Together with his wife, Giulia, he turned pain into purpose, founding Karma on The Road—Italy’s first association dedicated to supporting amputees and recovering used prosthetics. Their dream took shape in an extraordinary adventure: over 8,000 kilometres by motorcycle, from Italy to Ghana, collecting and sharing stories of resilience and rebirth. But the journey didn’t end there. The road, which seemed to have given everything, had more to demand. After the mission, Luca lost his life in an accident. His voice fell silent, but his dream did not. With a shattered heart and the courage of those who refuse to surrender, Giulia chose to carry on. Every mile travelled became a silent conversation with him, every stop a promise kept. Absence became the driving force, pain transformed into strength.
